– Olivye is great as a side dish or its own meal. It makes a great sandwich too.
– If you run low on water to boil with via prep, add more. It’s easier to add it when it’s hot water, and add it between ingredients and bring it back up to a boil.
– You can use the same water throughout boiling all of your ingredients, this makes some BOMB ASS BROTH that you can later use for soup if you have leftover ingredients. It’s damn delicious.
– When you dice the ingredients, try to make them all about the same size, this improves the texture.
– I highly recommend using an egg cutter device for the eggs and potatoes. What I’m talking about is shown below.
Оливье (Olivye)
Oливье (That's o-liv-yeh, for you Americans) is a traditional Russian cold salad. It's delicious af, and relatively easy to make, even if it's a little time consuming to prepare the ingredients.
My family traditionally makes this for holiday type dinners like Easter and Christmas, but I like doing a batch for Thanksgiving or whenever the fuck I want to cause it's damn delicious. ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
