Naturally gluten free, so that’s a plus. Feel free to test the carrots and take them out earlier if they’re done. If your carrots are large, just halve or quarter them lengthwise.
Honey- Glazed Spiced Carrots
A nice, easy side dish. Made this as a thanksgiving side to good reviews.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. small carrots, peeled and trimmed
- 1 tbsp thinly sliced chives (optional)
Spiced Glaze
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°c)
- Combine glaze ingredients in small bowl
- Reserve 2 tbsp of glaze mixture
- Pour remaining glaze over carrots, toss to combine
- Spread carrots over baking sheet in single layer
- Bake in oven for 30 min
- Toss roasted carrots with reserved glaze mixture
- Transfer to serving platter
- Top with sliced chives (optional)
