Pumpkin Pancakes
Pumpkin pancakes, using pumpkin puree. None of that pumpkin spice bullshit (though those would also be pretty good ngl). These are not sweet pancakes by any means! If you want to iHop this bitch up please add chocolate chips, and additional sugar.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup milk
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp ginger
- 0.5 tsp salt
Instructions
Make that batter
- Get two bowls, or just use a measuring cup for the wet ingredients. In the first container mix in milk, pumpkin, egg, oil and vinegar. In the other bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, ginger and salt.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Yeah I agree it does look gross but it does smell good.
- Optional - If you have a dog, let them lick the spoon that was in the pumpkin puree (only give them the puree, make sure no spices or other ingredients are on the spoon). In fact give them a spoonful of pumpkin if you have extra. Dogs love that shit, and it helps them shit easier too! https://www.petmd.com/dog/nutrition/healthy-foods-checklist-pumpkin-dogs
- Optional - NO REALLY GIVE THE FUCKING DOG THE PUMPKIN! DO NOT TEASE THE DOG. THANK YOU
Grillin' cakes
- Get a griddle (yes you can use a fu*king skillet too). Lightly oil that griddle (or you stupid fu*king skillet) and put it on medium high heat. If you have a fancy-ass electric griddle, set that b*tch to 375F.
- Once the griddle (or skillet) is hot scoop out some batter. Use about 1/4 cup for 12 pancakes. Adjust accordingly, I don't know your life. You want the pancakes to be brown on both sides. Once you see lots of bubbling its time to flip them shits over.
- Have as sweet tooth? Yeah I bet you do. iHop this shit up with some chocolate chips, or if you don't want chocolate add a few extra tsp's of brown sugar.
- Serve them hot and enjoy. Feel proud that you know math and didn't need to use bisquick.
